What are we waiting for?

Diamyd has started two Phase III trials, one in the US and one in Europe. Both consists of 320 Type 1 patients each.

Both trials are currently recruiting and results are expected in Q1 2011.

(NIH) NIDDK is sponsoring a independant Phase II trial, 126 patients, starting in Feb 2009 and results are expected in Jan 2011.

(NIH) NIDDK is sponsoring a combination (Diamyd + beta cell regeneration drugs) Phase II trial, 164 patients, starting in Feb 2009.

Trialnet is using GAD65 (Diamyd) for a type 1 diabetes prevention trial in mid-2009. High risk patients will be taken from the Trialnet Natural History Study currently ongoing.
